Embedded Components, Inc. offers a low cost and commercially tested vertical scrolling ticker for your web pages. Use ECI's scrolling ticker to attract users to new features related to your products, services, and web site. It supports both HTML and CSS cascading style sheet technology to present scrolling text. The scroller is interactive so your users can stop the scrolling, or quickly advance through the topics without waiting for them to scroll.
		ECI's scrolling ticker is a high quality Flash program designed by Ron Fredericks, founder of ECI. He is a successful Flash and ActionScript developer who has published several open-source components on actionscript.org. He is also the lead designer of LectureMaker™, ECI's conversion tool and service converting Microsoft's PowerPoint slide sets into distance learning centers. ECI's scrolling ticker program has solved the typical problems in using Flash within a web browser for scrolling text: The scrolling is smooth without chewing up very much of your client computer's cpu time - a common problem amoung many Flash programs that move text within a web browser. The scrolling is interactive so the client does not have to "chase" or wait for the scrolling item to be viewed or clicked. Simply hover your mouse over the scrolling area to pop-up the user menu. The scrolling text is easy to change. Simply upload a new html file. Each scrolling entry is defined as a new line of text (i.e. carriage return). The specific HTML tags and CSS styles supported are defined by Flash version 7 documentation. Scrolling stage size is flexible based on simple "height" and "width" settings. The scrolling text will wrap nicely within the stage size you define. The background color can be set easily. The Flash file is easy to install into a web page. It will work correctly on most web browsers including IE. Netscape, FireFox, etc... and on most operating systems including Windows, Mac, Linux, and UNIX. It only requires the Adobe Flash 7 player or above plugin to be installed on your clients web browser - something that most Internet users already have as a free download from the Macromedia FlashPlayer web site.
