Ron found his passion in the embedded systems industry when he was the president of Fredericks Biophysics, Inc. - a small company he created to fund his U.C. Berkeley biophysics & cognitive studies. Little did he know at the time that Fredericks Biophysics would turn into a 10 year lifestyle for Ron making him a technology expert for the United States Food and Agriculture community in laboratory information management and automated testing instrumentation. Nearly all food processing and manufacturing companies in the USA have incorporated or benefited from Ron's leading edge real-time software, instrumentation interfaces, technical support, infrared spectroscopy, and calibration techniques for milk testing and dairy food manufacture.

Ron has since worked for GE's Nuclear Energy Division, Microtec (just after acquiring Jim Ready's real-time operating system company called Ready Systems), Mentor Graphics, LynuxWorks, and Wind River (just after Jerry Fiddler acquired Integrated Systems) - all in the area of networked embedded operating systems in positions as sr. engineer, consultant, application engineer, marketing manager, MBA student, public speaker, strategic alliance manager, partner program manager, sales manager, and US country manger. In these various roles, Ron has worked closely with over 500 companies who research, make, use, or enable embedded components and their associated tools.

Ron is the author of many articles in the embedded industry and was the editor-in-chief for Software Entrepreneurs Forum newsletter and technical editor for Digital Equipment Corporation's User Society (DECUS) Magazine for many years. As a writer, editor, and public speaker for the embedded industry, Ron has become a valuable engineering and marketing asset to companies who wish to effectively meet market requirements through reuse of embedded components, or design and deliver their embedded component products and services to various audiences for sales, engineering, and business development.

So it is only natural that Ron take a leadership role in the embedded community by launching Embedded Components, Inc. Click on the links below to see what some clients and partners are saying:
